Gorge Chocolates

GORGE Chocolates was established in 2004 in the picturesque countryside of Cooriemungle, a small rural area near the iconic Twelve Apostles, a major tourist attraction on the Great Ocean Road. This strategic location attracts both locals and tourists. What began as a modest venture quickly grew into a beloved business appreciated by the community and visitors alike.

GORGE Chocolates envisioned creating high-quality handmade chocolates using Belgian Chocolate, a vision that continues to define the store.

In 2019, Ian and Angela rebranded the business to “Gorge Chocolates Home of the Chocolate Alpaca,” reflecting its expanded offerings and unique charm. The property is now home to Surilana Alpacas.

Visitors can enjoy not only delicious chocolate, hot chocolate, and coffee but also views of alpaca feeds. The store offers a wide range of alpaca products made from their super-soft fleece, including clothing, giftware, bedding, and carpets. It also offers variety of local produce and our very own The Big Nuts.
